Crédit Mutuel, 2nd cooperative bank in France, carries out actions to support the development in the world through the Centre International du Crédit Mutuel (CICM).

It owns and spreads mutual values and principles for emerging countries and develops microfinance networks in these countries for 30 years.

In 2004, it set up mutual saving and loan network in Cambodia, through the Cambodia Mutuel Savings and Credit (CMSC Network), which is now called Crédit Mutuel Kampuchea (CMK).

It promotes economic and social development through financial services and solidarity principle, which has now 10 locations in Phnom Penh and 6 locations in different provinces: SIEM REAP, KOMPONG SPOEU, KOMPONG CHHNANG, TAKEO, LVEA EM (KANDAL) and OREANG OV (KOMPONG CHAM).

Crédit Mutuel Kampuchea (CMK), receives financial support from the French Development Agency (AFD) via the French Embassy and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
